From April 22 to April 25, 2019, the International Competition of Young Designers "Admiralty needle" will be held in St. Petersburg. This year the contest celebrates its 25th anniversary. The motto of the contest is"Fashion polygon". At the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, young fashion designers from Russia and other countries will test new bold ideas and present their design skills. The Admiralty Needle contest is open to everyone. The project combines artificial intelligence and fashion engineering, neural networks and technological breakthroughs of the XXI century, traditional and future fashion professions. An international scientific and practical conference "Industrial Balance in Culture and Design" will be held for the guests on April 24, exhibitions and performances will be held where you can evaluate the work of your favorite designers.

On April 22, residents and guests of St. Petersburg are waiting for the grand opening and the semi-final of the competition. For the first time in the history of the Admiralty Needle, the people's jury, consisting of famous and media personalities, will give a ticket to the finals to the most worthy young designers.

And on April 25, 2019, the final gala show will take place at the "Fashion Range". «Admiralty needle»  is a battle of the most progressive designers, a fashion battle for the Grand Prix of the competition, which this year will amount to half a million rubles.

PROGRAM

• On April 22, the grand opening and the semi-final of the competition.
• April 23 - Viewing the collections of the finalists of the competition jury in the showroom. VIP-show of the contestants' collections.
• April 24, – I International Scientific and Practical Conference «Industrial Balance in Culture and Design ». Recognized world experts in the field of fashion industry and design will talk about the most pressing issues in the field of design and fashion:
  • how the past and the future intersect;
  • how to find a balance between industrial technologies and high intellectual abilities;
  • how the fashion world is changing under the influence of social networks.
• April 25 is the final of the contest.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until March 25, 2019.This year, young designers at the age of 16 and 40 are invited to the competition.
