SOHO Fashion saves the selected course
The past year has been fruitful for SOHO Fashion. If the first half of the year was devoted to closing the last issues that arose as a result of the crisis, the second half was marked by a new expansion.
In 2016, the opening of the Clarks store in the Rostokino Golden Babylon shopping center, the SOHO store, took place in Moscow – in the shopping center «Hudson» and a boutique in «Outlet Village White Cottage ». In May last year, the first joint venture SOHO Fashion was launched with a regional partner in Yekaterinburg, which currently operates two stores: SOHO and Clarks in the Greenwich shopping center. The company plans to increase the number of stores in Yekaterinburg to six, as well as start working in other cities of the region. In addition, its own regional network SOHO has expanded due to the acquisition of stores from partners in Tyumen and Arkhangelsk.
The chain of stores of the brand Clarks is also actively developing, an exclusive contract with which was signed in 2013. Since then, three stores have been opened in Moscow: in the shopping center "Metropolis", the shopping center "Golden Babylon Rostokino" and the shopping center "Afimall", where the premium format "C7+" works, which exists only in ten capitals of the world. Clarks stores have also been opened and are successfully operating in Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg and Chelyabinsk.
SOHO Fashion is one of the largest distributors of premium brand shoes on the Russian market. The company secures this position by attracting well-known brands that are most in demand among customers to its portfolio. Recently, the company's assortment has expanded due to the brand shoes Diesel and Petalous, as well as bags Marc O’Polo from a new manufacturer. In 2016, the retail chain has already received the first deliveries from new brands for SOHO– EMU Australia and FRAAS.
It can be seen from everything that the company does not stand still, preferring development in several directions at once. And despite the fact that the crisis did not go unnoticed by SOHO Fashion, the company managed to maintain and strengthen its leading position in the market. "A lot of distributors and retail operators have closed or reduced their presence in the market, and we have expanded, increasing the gap from colleagues in the shop," notes the founder and head of the company SOHO Fashion Jacob Treskov. To prevent a recession, we are actively developing retail, fixing good rates, and also working a lot with key customers, supporting them and thereby increasing sales.
It is always pleasant and useful to cooperate with professionals who want and know how to work. But one desire and skill, unfortunately, is not enough. We need money and an understanding that an unstable situation makes the return on investment less predictable, and we need to calculate our capabilities. We give preference to large partners who can open several stores and thereby secure good discounts, increasing the likelihood of success of the project.
SOHO Fashion plans to maintain the chosen course, developing retail and supporting key partners. The company is also thinking about new projects, such as the creation of the first branded stores Happy Socks and FRAAS in Moscow.
