Go East: Russian fashion business mission to Jakarta
Indonesia The world's largest archipelago, a country of thousands of islands and amazing economic opportunities for the development of light and textile industries. The largest of the islands are familiar to us from oriental fairy tales and tourist avenues. Java, Kalimantan, Sumatra. It's time to expand the fashionable geography! Prospects for cooperation, direct and indirect benefits of the interaction of our continents in the field of fashion are in today's column.
London, Paris, New York, Milan are considered to be the top fashion capitals, but the zone of fashionable "coverage" has long gone beyond traditional borders and has stepped far beyond Europe.East. Markers of the "advanced" fashion industry are the level and activity of the development of light industry in a particular country. Today there is a huge amount of clothing (for trillions of dollars per year!) it is exported from Asia, where raw materials and accessories are produced, collections are sewn, advertising campaigns are shot, catalogs, billboards, booklets, etc. are designed. In this regard, Indonesia is of great interest to Russian textile manufacturers and designers Let's figure out why.
In the difficult modern realities, Russian experts and entrepreneurs are looking for ways to minimize financial risks, overcome logistical barriers, effectively manage financial flows when conducting international trade, reorient import flows towards Southeast Asia and improve the situation in terms of cooperation with existing partners. Textiles are now at risk – already today, control and customs inspection of goods have been strengthened, which leads to a delay in the supply of materials and production problems.
Russia and Indonesia have been trading partners for more than 60 years, but textile supplies today occur mainly through an intermediary Turkey. The countries need to establish direct contact and increase the volume of imports of Indonesian textiles to Russia. In total, 11 enterprises with an installed capacity of 1.3 million tons/year are engaged in the production of various types of fiber for the textile industry in Indonesia. Their total production in 2016 amounted to 1.1 million tons, of which 394 thousand tons were exported.
The purpose of the planned Russian business mission, initiated and organized jointly by the Consulting Agency Just Logistics, Moscow Export Center, Soyuzlegprom, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Embassies of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation establishment of direct interaction between the business structures of Russia and Indonesia interested in specific bilateral projects. Leading experts in the field of logistics, textile and light industry, as well as in issues of economic cooperation between the two countries will meet on one platform for a productive dialogue to discuss reference points and prospects for Russian-Indonesian trade and economic cooperation.
Various events and meetings are planned within the framework of the Russian business mission program, including the official reception of business mission participants in The Russian trade representative office in Indonesia. Visits to enterprises are planned: PT. Polychem Indonesia Tbk, «Indo-Frame Synthetics», «Tifico Fiber Indonesia Tbk»(polyester complex), «Sritex» (fully integrated enterprise covering all types of production from yarn manufacturing to ready-to-wear), «Duniyatex» (Central Java, Solo), as well as enterprises and craft workshops for the production of batik.
