State support of light industry: myth or reality?

part 1part 2

Natalia Vstovskaya, CEO of the Friendly World consulting agency, expert in brand creation, promotion of persons, companies, goods, services.

As a rule, support measures compensate for the interest on loans taken, and not all companies have the opportunity to lend. However, there are other measures, and they need to be studied.

Today, according to my estimates, a very effective measure is to support the investment of R&D projects mentioned above. It really works and enables enterprises to reach a new level of development. R&D support involves real compensation for the work performed during the project. Thanks to this financing, the company can develop and launch innovative products into industrial production, with which there is every chance of outperforming competitors.

Do we know many companies that are able to independently invest in research and development? In fact, this is not just a marketing ploy, but many years of investments that do not always pay off, but the future belongs to innovation. So why can I count on my fingers the familiar companies that use this measure or at least made attempts? However, if we look at the situation more closely, a very real problem will be revealed - the lack of a project as such. It seems that there is an intention, but there is no innovative theme. Where to get new technologies? In scientific institutes whose task is to develop innovative ideas and the latest technologies.

However, enterprises do not yet understand very well what a serious effect and benefit a partnership with a research institute can give. Here is what the general director of TSNIISHP Svetlana Lopandina says: "Undoubtedly, today it is possible to get ahead only with innovative products. It is precisely such pioneering technologies that our institute develops. For example, we create textile and non-woven materials for medical devices, fire-resistant and heat-resistant fabrics and specialized clothing from them, we develop special clothing for extreme working conditions, including with forced heating. An important direction for the Institute is the development of products for people with disabilities and insulated clothing with high hygienic properties for children. Such projects always take the brand to a new level. I can name examples of successful cooperation. With the Pavlovo-Posad worsted com bandage» we have created a fabric with bio cid properties for school uniforms. It is treated with silver ion nanoparticles. New tissue properties reduce the spread of viruses, for example during flu epidemics. A joint project to develop children's clothing based on a new size typology with the brand "Arctiline" allowed the company to bring products to the foreign market. An innovative project with the company "Change" has contributed to an increase in sales volumes, and we are currently working on a new R&D project. Our institute is open for cooperation with manufacturing companies in a variety of areas.

What else do companies need to know to qualify for government support? The fact that your project should correspond to the strategic directions of the development of light industry and correspond to one of the declared subprograms. And this is also publicly available information.

Finally, if you have decided to start acting in this direction, one more important point should be taken into account. Getting measures under support– is always a competition. The competitionnaya commission selects those projects that best meet the announced key criteria. For example, the maximum number of implemented productive places during the project, the volume of future exports, and the ren. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare very well and take into account all the nuances of your swearing program. Then success will be quite real. The state helps those companies that effectively use the funds received not only for their own development, but also for the benefit of the country's economy as a whole, which, of course, will benefit the end consumers of your products.
