Journey to the star of Vadim Merlis

On the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, Vadim Merlis presented Arcturus – his new autumn-winter 2017/18 collection.

The designer said that the symbol of his collection was Arcturus, the star of all lovers and madmen.

"There are many stars in the sky, but I remember one. This is Arcturus, a bright and beautiful star. I chose it as an emblem for my new series of urban outfits. The polygonal geometric symbol of a star or its embroidered name is used for decoration on models. But for myself, I called the collection "Love in the City".

Not only casual and daring street clothes could be seen on the catwalk. There was also a club-evening line. These lines are united by many different shaped textures, removable accessories, which allows different styles to combine, complement and emphasize each other. The main idea of the collection is dynamic urbanism combined with a bohemian note.

The line of models presents basic everyday things for residents of megacities in a modern street style. The designer's new models take into account the trends of the season, but at the same time each piece is made in a unique manner.
