The history ofTOOLAI began in 2007 with the Commune trademark created by designers Asel and Eleonora in Athens.
Since 2010, designers have been actively participating in the Athens Fashion Week (AXDW) and cooperating with the representative office of Greece. This partnership allowed Commune to present its collections at the leading trade shows in Athens and London: ΟΖΟΝ, Tell A Story, Margin, FEMMINA international exhibition. The clothes of Asela and Eleonora could also be found in Milan showrooms.
In August 2015, as a result of the collaboration of designers with the Los Angeles showroom, the TOOLAI brand appeared. The main style of theTOOLAI was the Nomad Street Style, which was launched in Russia with great success. In the fall of 2015, at the Designer Pool competition for young designers, the brand won free participation in the international exhibition CPM in Moscow. In February 2016, the young brand debuted on the Russian market.
Thanks to the support of the representative agency, showroom ModaSpace, today TOOLAI is successfully represented in many cities of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Ulan-Ude, Vladivostok, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Perm).
CONCEPT
TOOLAI embodies a combination of scientific and personal experience of designers, mathematicians by profession, with a love of modern art.
The brand's motto is cosmopolitanism, comfort, sophistication, lightness and naturalness. This concept is expressed in a rich palette of natural shades and fabrics, handmade processing of products using new technologies, original design.
Classic jackets, elongated coats, LABOR overalls, strict rectangular shapes are naturally combined with flowing silk and soft translucent cambric, creating a sense of comfort, relevance and practicality at the same time.
The highlight of TOOLAI is the variety of the color palette and the use of only natural fabrics: shiny silk from birch gray to mineral shades of deep blue, soft linen tones of dried mustard and ripe almonds, dense cotton in a cage and stripes.
