Moscow Fashion Industry Forum

May 31 in the framework of The Moscow Entrepreneurship Week will be held at the LOFT HALL Moscow Fashion Industry Forum, which will bring together the most famous and recognizable fashion industry insiders, speakers from abroad and other honored guests.Among them: Aysel Trudel, Igor Gulyaev, Konstantin Andrikopoulos, Ekaterina Darma, Lilia Rakh, Georgy Rostovshchikov, Christophe Guillarm, Jeremy Douay, Diane Pernet, Antonio Federiko and others.

The speakers of the forum note the importance of its holding, as well as the unprecedented opportunity for the audience to attend the maximum number of sections and events absolutely free of charge. And not only for those who are already engaged in this field, but also for young people and students who are taking the first steps on the way to business. Thanks to such events, Moscow is really becoming a global platform for interaction, partnership and the search for strategies for the development of the industry.

Here is what some of its future speakers say about the forum.

Georgy Usurers,President of the INTERNATIONAL BUYERS HUB INTERNATIONAL Buyers Association, fashion Director of MILO GROUP, founder of LABELED agency, leading international buyer:I certainly think that any form of meetings, forums, public talks, any educational initiatives, especially in the fashion industry, which in our country is not yet at such a high level as the real one.laquo;industry» (by comparison  with how things are in the west) – very important, useful and correct. In fact, even 5–7 years ago, I could not imagine that I would work with such designers and brands as have appeared and are working in Russia now. I am glad to see the emergence and growth of Russian brands that produce a really good commercial product, original and creative. I see a huge potential in the development of the Russian fashion industry and light industry, in particular in Moscow, where most of the production is concentrated. There are a lot of problems in the industry today, including the lack of a full cycle, seasonality, communication, problems with raw materials and with designers. And they need to be solved gradually and globally. As part of the forum, I chose the export section for myself, as I really have something to tell about in the field of retail and working with designers, to share both positive and negative experiences. I think it is very important to raise the issue of exports, positioning the Russian market, in particular the Moscow market, as a good platform for exporting goods. The lion's share of all commercial Russian brands are based in Moscow. We need to make Moscow the new fashion capital, because in terms of logistics, education, communication and production, this is really a great starting point. Let's hope that each of us will contribute to the positioning of Moscow as a real fashion capital at the Moscow Fashion Industry Forum.

Antonio Federico, famous Italian photographer, shoots for Armani, Valentino, Versace, Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Ferretti and other fashion brands«The Moscow Fashion Industry Forum is a global and very necessary event for the industry. Such things are always interesting to both parties, both participants (listeners) and speakers directly. For us, this is a chance to present ourselves, our view of the industry through the prism of our experience and understanding. For viewers, a chance to learn new things, try to see the real state of the industry through the eyes of many of its representatives and draw their own conclusions. It is wonderful that such events in Moscow with the support of the Government are now absolutely free of charge. For those who have decided to connect their lives with fashion, with building a fashion business, these are very good opportunities for development, understanding their positioning in the fashion world and finding their own way.

Igor Gulyaev, founder and head of the successful Russian Fashion house IGOR GULYAEV: "As a designer and head of my own Fashion house, I am immensely glad that recently the authorities and the Government of Moscow have paid attention to the fashion industry. A new generation of guys has grown up in our country who create a popular product that is really worthy of attention. These are brand new stories – a trend that is gaining momentum today. Foreigners coming to our country are ready to buy products "made in Russia", and the residents of our vast country themselves are ready to buy and wear clothes made here. Unlike Western brands, where sometimes you can find a large number of "typical", paraphrasing each other, Russian designers are original: everyone tries not just to stand out and attract attention, but also to make a high-quality recognizable product. The fashion industry in Russia has prospects for growth and development, and, of course, it is necessary to continue moving forward on worthy examples, studying not only in specialized institutions, but also in the framework of events similar to the Moscow Fashion Industry Forum. To learn communication, ways of working with staff, means of promotion, etc., since today a person who gives out a product of his creativity to the world needs to have many competencies for its successful offer to the consumer. The industry always needs people with experience, in "hands", in production facilities. Such meetings and discussions, in my opinion, are just new opportunities for finding answers to questions and finding ways to move forward.
