On March 13, 2018, at the site of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, in the Arena, a show of the collection of the brand IVANOVA of the season "autumn-winter 2018/19" "Please be free not perfect». In the English version of the collection's name, the designer laid down a game of meanings, leaving everyone the right to their own understanding. Freedom and creativity for the heroine of the collection IVANOVA of the FW 2018/19 season is a lifestyle that is full of ups and downs, hobbies and disappointments; fashion is not just a rethinking of fashion gloss recommendations or interpretations of trends by designers, but a conscious choice. True freedom begins where a person learns to be free in himself, to control his nature and use every minute of his own life with love for it.

 

Together with professional models, two stars of Soviet cinema walked the podium confidently and with a smile. Svetlana Amanova and Elena Radzinskaya, whose life paths and attitude completely coincide with the mood and concept of the collection.

Svetlana Amanova, whose life today takes place between the set and the stage of the Maly Theater, gladly accepted the offer of designerYulia Ivanovaand to some extent discovered herself in a new hypostasis: "Despite the vast experience of public appearances and on «habit » to the audience's attention, walking on the podium is not so easy! On the stage of the theater, an actor is protected by words, a role, and in a situation of showing it is a momentary image that you have to live very, very quickly, feeling the things that you put on, like the words of your own role... And you have only yourself, body plasticity, facial expressions and mood, there is no way to convey something to the viewer with a word. But this experience has become immensely interesting for me! Julia very correctly and correctly picked up an image for me, in my opinion, very harmonious. And, walking along the podium, I once again realized what the very diversity of life means when Egor and who were present at the show Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev sincerely smiled and supported my exit with applause. After all, up to this point, I also sat in their place at designer shows as a spectator, being on the other side of the podium. And when the master applauds you and the designer – it's worth a lot ».

 

Elena Radzinskaya – writer, public figure, director and producer of the project «We are all from the same clay», created to help special people, their social adaptation in society. Elena's participation in the show for herself and for the actors of the play, who were present in the Arena as guests, was an inspiring confirmation that we are all human beings and there are no fundamental differences between us on any principle. «For me, freedom – is exactly the mood that is in Julia's collection, – moving forward and constant changes. It is very simple and difficult at the same time to win something in yourself every day and thereby change something in those who are nearby. Like us in our project, we are trying to defeat two types of autism: the autism of special guys who want to be friends, love, communicate, but can't, and the autism of healthy people who can do it all, but... they don't want to.Freedom is not in perfection and perfection, but in the fact that you understand that together we really can do everything, because we were molded from the same clay!» – commented after the show Elena Radzinskaya.

The FW 2018/19 collection «Please be free not perfect» harmoniously combined business wardrobe items with versatile sets and clothes for glamorous parties.

The heroine of the collection IVANOVA is constantly moving forward, striving to be better than yesterday's self. The images from the collection play into the classics of black as invariably organic in any setting, day or night, work or leisure. Being visually multi-layered, the kits remain free from circumstances, adapting only to the mood of their owner. And if the dominant black gives completeness to each image and the entire palette of the collection, then color accents appear like life experiences, emotions and passions. In this combination of colors, a game is created in which one acquires the qualities of the other, and black becomes the background for a light grain de folie, which suits a very intelligent person, or an oddity that can only be endured by someone who perfectly controls herself.

 

The designer uses rigid fabrics that can hold the shape and create volumes. Traditionally resorting to graphically clear silhouettes in the cut of trousers and jackets, shirt dresses and skirts, Yulia Ivanova experiments with complex bottom lines and removable decorative elements. At the same time, the strict geometry is softened by the plasticity of knitwear and soft wool, silk and velvet, and the richness of hand embroidery. The accessory range of the collection was presented with unexpected hats designed by the brand Lia Gureeva specially for the collection IVANOVA «Please be free not perfect».
