KOSCON's first Open Technology hackathon

"Representatives of three children's technoparks in Moscow, three schools, a specialized college and gymnasium and four institutes belonging to the Russian State University, in the final of KOSCON, which will be held on May 18, will show their solutions to business cases presented by the participants-partners of the event"

Timur Javadov, Director of the Project Center for the Development of the Educational Environment of Kosygin Russian State University, Co-Head of the Public Movement "Students of Moscow"

Traditionally, the manufacturer of nonwovens, the company "Thermopol", takes an active part in supporting talented youth. The management and the team not only welcomes creativity, non-standard approaches to solving problems, bold initiatives, promising and research thinking, but also takes a direct part in such projects. So, along with traditional tasks, such as the design of the exhibition packaging of nonwoven Holofiber SOFT 150g/sq.m., the domestic manufacturer offers futuristic tasks related to modeling, digitalization.

"We are constantly deepening the subject of hackathons. For example, the tasks of the contestants include not only the justification and proof of the feasibility of introducing nonwovens and products, but also, paradoxically! – refutation of the old, routine, not working, obsolete ».

Vladislav Ivanov, Ph.D., Project Development Director, LLC "Thermopol"

For the first time for KOSCON participants, the Holofiber project formulated an unusual complex task. Schoolchildren and students will have to model the "City of nonwovens" the world of comfort and warmth. They will need to come up with and describe a comfortable urban environment that provides for the widest possible use of nonwovens. It can be thermal insulation of buildings, energy efficiency elements, composite materials, filters, seats or sun beds, recreation areas for city residents, hydroponics, comfortable trails with geotextile and even insulated public clothing for each resident, and much more that will help bring to life the creative thinking of young people.

The most interesting projects, according to experts, will receive mentoring support from the event's partner participants and a certificate of idea development from "Thermopol".
