Holofiber – for everyone!

Within Moscow Youth Social Forum, held under the auspices ofThe Russian State Social University, held a round table "Digital fashion" creation of products for people with disabilities and special needs". Moscow Plant «Thermopol» The manufacturer of nonwovens Holofiber, which are actively used in this field, presented the latest technological innovations designed to make life more comfortable and safer.

According to official statistics, there are about 10 milliondisabled people living in Russia, according to the Social Information Agency at least 15 million, according to the data provided in the RGSU, at least 12 millionpeople.Innovative materials for people with special needs should not only provide thermal insulation, but also respond to the human condition, provide temperature-regulating functions, fix thermal comfort, provide an anti-bedsore effect, do not retain odors, have the possibility of modular replacement, zoning, and at the same time be affordable, sustainable to repeated operational loads, washing and cleaning without loss of properties.

 
Technical textiles are being actively implemented not only in industry, but also in scientific papers and patents. Thus, at the innovation conference Smartex-2018, 3 promising studies of the use of technical textiles in various products for the disabled, including highly effective hygienic thermal insulation (blankets, envelopes, shoes, seats, mattresses, etc.) for non-mobile citizens were presented.

The discussion of the issues of creating products for people with special needs was attended by the projects I-inclusive, "Orthomoda", "Open World", "Active life", "Cyberathletics", Holofiber®, «Motor Skills», «Orthosis», «Exoskeleton» and others, as well as representatives of Kosygin Russian State University, KSU and Technological College No. 24.
