Arc-resistant insulation Holofiber®
At the exhibition «Occupational Safety and Health-2018», which will be held at VDNH on December 11–14, the company«Thermopol» will demonstrate thermal insulation nonwovens with the highest arc resistance Holofiber® CARBO. This is a workwear insulation for deep minus with the functions of protection against exposure to open flames and thermal risks of an electric arc. The innovative material does not spread flames, does not melt, has no residual gorenje or smoldering, does not form through holes.
The evolution of thermal insulation nonwovens in the Russian Federation is associated with a change in the approach to the safety of workers, as well as the development of the oil and gas and energy sectors, where clothing for protection from the thermal effects of an electric arc becomes an integral part of the complete set of PPE. Reducing occupational health and life risks has been part of the ideology of the domestic developer Holofiber® since 2004.
Comments Elena Mezentseva, chief technologist of the plant "Thermopol": "The creation of specialized materials Holofiber® CARBO goes according to the complex tasks of manufacturers of workwear and questionnaires-responses of employees of companies. They contain direct instructions on what kind of insulation and workwear should be. Here are some criteria: safety plus comfort, resistance to repeated washing, low weight, etc.".
Experiments with fire resistance and arc resistance of materials «Thermopol » has been actively conducting since 2006. Optimal performance was achieved when creating the most popular in the field of PPE branded materials Holofiber® AF, Holofiber® PROFI, Holofiber® TEK and Arkprotect (together with LLC "Trading House Testil"), which are used in protective clothing of PJSC "Gazprom", PJSC "Gazprom Neft", PJSC "Transneft", PJSC "Rosneft", PJSC "Tatneft", PJSC "LUKOIL", PJSC "NOVATEK", PJSC "SIBUR Holding", energy companies (FPG "Energy Contract", GC "Vostok-Service" and others), enterprises of the metallurgical industry, mechanical engineering.
The specialists of the plant «Thermopol » note that the thermal insulation technologies tested over many years, implemented on the example of Holofiber® CARBO, have significant prospects not only in the industry markets of PPE. Due to the total development of electrical communications and radio electronics, materials of a new type will soon become widespread in home textiles, interior technologies, construction, the next steps of the industry focusing on technical textiles, or, as it is also called, fossil textiles created from hydrocarbon raw materials.
