The concept of "Fossil textiles"

The concept of "Fossil textiles" was presented for the first time in Kazan. The idea of hydrocarbon raw materials, considered not as thermal energy or movement, but as technical textiles. From this position, manufacturers and scientists proposed to consider the limitless possibilities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan in the industrial policy of the coming decades. Scientists and manufacturers agree that technical textiles will totally occupy the market in the near future, starting to dominate today.

The presentation took place as part of the conclusion of an agreement between Kazan National Research Technological University (KNITU) and Moscow factories of nonwovens "Thermopol", which are focused on the widespread use of chemical fibers from fossil hydrocarbon raw materials and on the priority of the development of high-tech technical textiles in the Russian Federation.

KNITU and "Thermopol" have a long-standing experience of cooperation on research projects, in particular, on the analysis and design of composite materials on a fibrous basis Holofiber, joint work within the association Technological platform of textile and light industry, based in the Republic of Tatarstan, in cooperation with the research center "Nonwovens" for the analysis of fibrous structures (together with Moscow researchers Prof. M. Y. Treshchalin, Ph.D., Yu.M. Treshchalin).

Today, cooperation is reaching a new level and is connected both with the issues of innovations in the field of diverse modifications of non-woven materials Holofiber®, and in the direction of smartex, medical engineering, nanotechnology, added properties, qualities, performance characteristics.

The concept was presented in "oil Tatarstan" taking into account the development of the chemical industry in the republic, as well as on the eve of two conceptual events for the future of technical textiles in the Russian Federation: An expanded meeting of the Soyuzlegprom "Textile and light industry: modern challenges and state support" (November 15, Moscow)and the Forum of Light Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia (November 29, 30, Ivanovo).

The active implementation of projects of highly efficient "deep processing" of hydrocarbon raw materials, which scientists from KNITU and industrialists from "Thermopol-Moscow" specialize in their niches, can cause a cumulative effect, provoke a long-awaited "chain industrial reaction" by society - a process in which virtually the entire professional population of the country can be involved.
