"Thermopol" against counterfeit

Within the framework of the three-day International Forum "Anti-counterfeit" representatives of the project "strong>Holofiber" instead of the usual question "What to do with counterfeit?» voiced their specific answer.

For many years of work in the direction of combating counterfeiting, the plant "Thermopol", manufacturer of nonwovens and owner of the brand Holofiber, has formed its own "anti-counterfeit methodology". It is based on the opportunities provided by Russian and international legislation, on the specifics of markets and the analysis of business processes that affect the appearance and presence of counterfeit products on domestic and external sites.


Comments Viktor Gontar, General Director of LLC "Thermopol": "In Russia there were attempts to make money on our trademark, we had to contact law enforcement agencies. But in the Russian Federation it is easier to influence the situation: there was a reaction to our appeal, and there were punished. The trademark Holofiber® is registered in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. In Russia, Holofiber is recognized as well-known (patent No. 101) and is subject to additional legal protection. Over the past few years, "Thermopol" has been introducing new methods of working with manufacturers and suppliers of counterfeit products with the illegal indication of the word "holofiber". And if at the first stages of brand development and production we unequivocally adhered to extremely tough positions in relation to violators, today, understanding the deeper origins and processes that form counterfeit as a phenomenon in global markets, we choose approaches related not so much to punishment and conflict as to civilized communication.
