For the New Year – with a new Holofiber!
Saratov National Research State University named after N. G. Chernyshevsky and the plant of nonwovens "Thermopol" have concluded an agreement under which they plan to create a new type of insulation Holofiber. The agreement provides for cooperation in the field of scientific and technical development and production of nonwovens.
Organizations are opening a cooperation project in the field of joint research and development work in the following areas: modification of the basic properties, qualities and performance characteristics of nonwovens "Holofiber"; development of package solutions with various types of fabrics, membranes and nonwovens; preparation of joint scientific and research works on innovative solutions with the use of technologies Holofiber.
Anticipating serial implementations for various industries of the Russian Federation, research work is being carried out by the plant "Thermopol" in two directions. The first is connected with innovative methods of creating thermal insulation self-regulating fiber systems in "smart clothes". The second develops promising approaches to improving the thermal insulation properties of clothing from the standpoint of the "next steps" of the industry, high technology and innovation.
According to the president of SSU, Professor Leonid Kossovich, the use of non-woven membranes made of ultrathin polymer fibers developed at the university as part of packages will not only dramatically improve their thermal insulation characteristics, but also give them additional properties, including noise insulation, high antibacterial activity, retention of fiber fragments inside the package.
The project "Thermopol" not only supports research and educational initiatives, but is also actively involved in the scientific and educational process.
Comments Viktor Gontar, General Director of the plant "Thermopol": "On the company's materials (tests, research, tests, experiments, etc.), student, bachelor's, master's, PhD and doctoral works are conducted and protected; patents are registered, implementations into serial products are being carried out. We support the publication of specialized literature, case studies on various aspects of technical textiles.
Within the framework of the agreement on cooperation in the field of scientific and technical development and production of nonwovens, closed research is provided for special services of the public sector.
