Bright names of Istanbul fashion in Moscow
The 40th CPM International Fashion Exhibition was held in Moscow, which was attended by 850 brands of clothing and accessories from 33 countries. Turkey became the leading country in terms of the number of companies exhibited - with 157 brands, the list of which was replenished with bright designers.
The Istanbul Association of Clothing Exporters iHKiB has been one of the key international partners of the exhibition for all 20 years of CPM development. However, starting in 2021, the organization made a significant breakthrough and began to bring twice as many participants to Moscow as the average in previous seasons. The current year 2023 turned out to be a landmark not only for the organizers of the CPM, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the exhibition, but also for their partners from Turkey, celebrating 100 years of the Republic and demonstrating continuous growth of activity in the field of export and popularization of the Made in Turkiye brand on the world market.
According to Mr. Mustafa Gultepe, President of the Assembly of Turkish Exporters TiM and the Istanbul Association of Clothing Exporters iHKiB,“In 2022, the volume of exports to Russia reached $ 370 million. In the first 7 months of 2023, we have already realized an increase of 132% compared to the same period of the previous year - in absolute terms, this is $ 354 million. This is a clear example of how the trade potential between our countries can develop.”
The iHKiB team brought a lot of debutants of the exhibition to Moscow this season, including: OCCLEUS, POLiMPiER, NORS, GIZIA, DANiELS, KETROY, GiESTO, H4, MACHiNiST, CROSS JEANS, ADAMO FUR, AYTUG CORAP, ZEKi, THiSBE, YAQA, AYNOOR, WHAT IF, Si DESiGN, SLEEN, CARACLAN, ZiLBERMAN and LUUKAA. Of particular interest to buyers may be brands such as Gizia, which returned to CPM after a break, Ketroy - a new incarnation of a well-known brand, Nors – a brand of designer bags, Adamo — a well-known and high-quality manufacturer of leather and fur, Aytug Socks - a popular brand of socks working with the whole world, Zeki Lingerie – a successful brand underwear, as well as Giesto and Machinist are well—known and sought-after streetwear brands.
The Made in Turkiye exposition at the CPM exhibition was located in five exhibition halls at once. In addition, clothing brands Mees, Portakal, Raw, H4, Pera Pelle, YXL Collection, What If, Rivo and Vigoss, as well as underwear and home and fitness clothing brands Pascara and Fashion Tayt, took part in the catwalk show program.
