The Ministry of Industry and Trade has signed an agreement with the European Institute of Design

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov signed a cooperation agreement with the European Institute of Design within the framework of the II International Fashion Forum in St. Petersburg. The European Institute of Design was represented by the Italian designer, technologist and teacher Andrea Tozi.



Viktor Yevtukhov in his welcoming speech noted that due to state support, many new modern production facilities have appeared in Russia, but we must not forget that fashion and design remain the most important direction of light industry.

"From the point of view of the request for innovations in technology, light industry in general and fashion and design in particular are at the forefront. We need to be updated all the time, new collections are needed all the time, it is very important not only to produce a good product, but also to pack it well, present it well in the store. Today, almost all consumers are very demanding.

The International Fashion Forum started in St. Petersburg on Thursday. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of St. Petersburg. The forum discusses the inclusion of leading designers, representatives of brands, and leading enterprises in the work processes. The forum participants will get acquainted with the trends of graphic and surface design and master the practical experience of representatives of the design and fashion communities.


The forum is focused on a direct constructive dialogue between representatives of fashion retail, designers, heads of the supervising department, leading light industry enterprises, as well as representatives of financial and consulting companies.
