The results of the qualifying stage of the spring session of the International Competition of young Designers "Generation NEXT"

The results of the qualifying stage have been summed up. The experts reviewed 371 projects and selected the most interesting ones.:

GRAPHIC DESIGN. Fashion graphics - 20 projects, Photography - 10 projects, Corporate identity - 12 projects, Polygraphy - 2 projects.

TEXTILES. Art textiles - 17 projects, Prom textiles - 13 projects.

COSTUME. Collection - 17 projects, Prom-sample - 5 projects, Shoes and accessories - 7 projects.

Maya Kuznetsova, the artistic director of the project, shared her impression: "This time, according to experts, there are no "excellent students" with the highest score, but many projects have received equally high marks. Therefore, we will have to have a serious discussion and vote when choosing the winners. There are many university representatives among the leaders, including nonresident and foreign ones, who have not won prizes before. And it pleases! There are new participating educational institutions, which we are very happy about, because the NEXT Generation finals are becoming a meeting place for students and graduates of various universities and colleges in our country and neighboring countries, and we have the opportunity to see the specifics and potential of different schools. Not only students come to us, but also teachers, this is very important for the exchange of experience and for professional development. This time, colleges are pleased with strong and creative work. Several finalists from last year presented good projects, and they are leading the way. That's great! So, first of all, the guys liked the contest, and they want to come again. Secondly, during these six months they have become more professional, stronger and more expressive in their work, which may have been facilitated by our competition. I think the finale will be interesting, strong and full of intrigue. Come and watch!".

The final of the competition and the Forum of Young Designers will be held on March 13-16, 2025 at the St. Petersburg Expoforum on the site of the Fashion Industry exhibition. The theme of the Forum is "Integration". The organizers are preparing a round table with leading industry experts, exhibition participants, young designers and representatives of the field of specialized education to discuss the prospects for realizing the potential of young designers in the conditions of the domestic light industry.

The international competition of young designers "Generation NEXT" was opened in FAREXPO in 2009. Over the years, Generation NEXT has proven itself as an independent and reputable project. The final is held in the format of a joint exhibition of projects by costume designers, textiles and graphics. Among the finalists are students and graduates of more than 20 major Russian universities, colleges and other educational institutions in Russia and Belarus. The winners of the last session will present their projects and products in the showroom, which is organized for them by FAREXPO. The winners of the spring competition will receive prizes from the founder and partners.
